The Department of Archaeology and Museums Haryana conducted a 5-day workshop on Masonry Building Conservation, Principles and Techniques from 29.07.2019 to 02.08.2019 at PWD Rest House, Panchkula.

First of its kind, this workshop was a collaborative effort that brought experts, practitioners, and students on a common platform to share their expertise, views, and queries about conservation aspects of structures and collections all over India. The panel of speakers comprised of people who are working in this field extensively and creatively, ensuring minimal intervention with structure of monument and still enhancing its life and visibility for generations to come.

The participants attended lectures, did hands on activities and practical sessions based on the theme of workshop. There were site visits to Nahan Kothi, Panchkula; Buddhist Stupa, Chaneti, Yamunanagar and Bhima Devi Temple Complex, Pinjore, Panchkula during the workshop.
